Steel. Case Hardened. Zinc Plated with Yellow Chromate Finish.
Self-forming threads can be screwed or driven into an untapped hole.
5.6mm diameter hole is recommended in DIN 71412 for M6 x 1.
Avoid chamfering as a sharp edge to the hole helps the thread bite
