American Threaded Grease Fittings include SAE-LT, PTF (NPT), UNF, UNC and UNS Threads.

These threads all have a 60° thread form.
SAE-LT and PTF threads have a 1:16″ Diametral Tapered Thread to provide an optimal seal in a parallel mating hole. 1/4″ x 28 SAE-LT and 1/8″ x 27 PTF threads are specified for fittings conforming to SAE J534 grease fitting standard.
UNF, UNC and UNS threads are parallel (straight) threads.
