Although Kingfisher (Lubrication) Limited are not currently accredited to ISO 14001, the Company does actively engage in activities to minimise the impact on the environment.  Waste streams are through approved contractors with the necessary duty of care.  Recycling of metals, plastics, paper and card, cleaning and reuse of cutting fluids.  Electronic and electrical equipment is disposed of according to UK regulations.  Schemes are ongoing with regards to reducing energy usage.  Low energy lights, modern motors and control gear, modern air nozzles and air guns – reduce air consumption and reduce noise therefore reduce electricity consumption.  Modern electronic heating control system – reduce gas consumption and emissions.  Drainage interception systems both internal and external to the premises.  Waste storage tanks emptied by approved contractors.  Hazardous waste segregation and removal by approved contractors.  Employees are educated in the correct disposal of materials.  Signage on the relevant waste/recycling containers.  Notices are posted on the notice boards relating to waste and environmental issues.  Oil containers are bunded.
